Movie Ticket Prices
I don't remember where I read this but I read something that said movie ticket prices are going to go up at least a dollar or more making your trip to the movies cost about $10 just to get in plus the absurd prices you pay for concessions.
I was thinking about this as I was in line to see Secretariat (Great movie by the way) and once I said two please I was expecting to get punched in the stomach with some ridiculous price. To the contrary I was pleasantly surprised only $9. $4.50 a ticket Monday through Thursday. Guess I just need to stay away from the movies Friday Saturday and Sunday and ill be saving the big bucks.

I've stopped going to the movie theatre entirely. Not that I ever was a big fan of going there in the first place, but with the prices they have I don't think it's very likely that I'll pick the interest up.
This has actually bothered me about the theatres really, I've never seen a huge change for the better while there. The sound system itself sure is better, but that doesn't really matter when you've got a loud group of people mucking about with their popcorn bags, yells of passing the soft drinks, talking on their cellphones...
I prefer watching movies right at home actually, you can take breaks whenever needed and not feel disturbed by anyone else. Plus, cheaper beverages, and you can get some decent food while eating too!
